Regal Care Trading were over whelmed and extremely proud to have received news from the Great British Care Awards that as a group we had 8 nominees in the South East Regional Finals. Our finalists were all invited to attend a Judging day at Brighton Racecourse on the 24th October.
Our finalists come from all different departments from Residential Communities in the South East.
Shelley Wesley from our Residential Community, The Hollies in Tonbridge Wells has already won the Dementia Carer award at the Kent Care Awards in September. She has now been shortlisted for the Dementia Carer as well. She joins her other Hollie’s colleague, Ana Rusa who is a finalist in the Care Home Care Worker Category.
Alpines Residential home in Sevenoaks has 3 finalists; Gail Sadra, the home’s Deputy Manager has been shortlisted in the Putting People First/Personalisation Category. Her colleague Cath Bulling is a finalist in the Dignity Carer Category and their final nomination is for Care Team of the Year.
Our residential home Park Beck in St Leonards-on-Sea was also honoured to have received 3 nominations. The first went to the home’s manager Steve Cooper who is a Registered Care Home Manager finalist. The home’s Deputy Manager Donna Lahmouddi was also shortlisted in the Palliative Care Category. Finally the home’s Leisure and Lifestyle Coordinator has been nominated as Activity Coordinator of the year.
All of our finalists were excited, proud and nervous to attend the judging day, but were honoured to have been shortlisted and to represent the Communities they work for.
We wish them all the best of luck for the awards ceremony in Brighton on the 11th of November.
Good Luck Team RCT!!
