Ashcroft House are celebrating their recent CQC inspection which received a GOOD rating.
The inspection took place in March of this year and was carried out over 2 days. The Management and staff work continuously in all aspects and areas of the home to provide a high standard of person centred care.
It was noted in the report that staff treated the residents with kindness and compassion, knew how to promote independence and also had an understanding of people’s needs.
Highlighted in the report were the organised activities and the resources available. Some of the residents were happy to talk about the enjoyment they got from activities such as the Bingo, entertainment and the PAT Dog who regularly visits.
The home’s experienced Leisure Therapist heads up an activity schedule which is well planned and includes creative, physical and cognitive based activities devised to bring stimulation and enjoyment for all the residents who choose to take part.
Another area highlighted was the homes themed and reminiscence rooms and the opportunities that these rooms give for relaxation and quietness.
The home continues to maintain this standard through training and a person centred driven service.
